School Counselor at DLE

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page! My name is Ms. Dorlus, the school counselor at Dream Lake Elementary School. This is my 7th year here, and I look forward to another exciting school year. I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My son and I moved to Orlando 7 years ago to be near our family. I enjoy watching football and basketball (Go Heat! Go DOLPHINS!), traveling, and cooking. I am here to support you and look forward to getting to know you and your family.

My role is to support every student in their academic, social/emotional, and career development. I achieve this through classroom guidance lessons, small groups, and individual counseling. I also consult with parents and teachers to ensure students reach their potential and help eliminate any educational barriers.

I hope to have a positive impact on the lives of the students that I come in contact with and I want my students to believe that through hard work and dedication, they can achieve all their goals.
