Individual Counseling
Students are seen individually to discuss anything they would like. Students are referred to the school counselor by school staff, parents, and themselves. Counselor uses brief, solution-focused counseling strategies to assist students with their presenting situation. Students who require ongoing assistance from a counselor may receive referrals for therapists approved by Orange County Schools.
Small Group Counseling
Small Groups of various topics are run throughout the school year based on student need. Topics may include study skills, self-control, changing families, friendship and self-esteem boosting. The groups meet weekly for 6-8 weeks for approximately 30 minutes during the school day. The purpose of the group is to model and learn from each other while working on particular skills. Students may be referred for a group by parents and/or school staff.

Large Group Counseling
Through planned, developmental guidance classroom lessons, students are taught academic, social, and career skills. Typical lesson topics may include conflict resolution, bullying, career exploration, good listening skills, goal setting, substance awareness and respect. Presenters may also visit classrooms to teach special topics.
